What foods should I avoid?

The Good news is that with sensible precautions hard, nutritious food like vegetables and fruits can still be eaten. Carrots can be shredded, apples cut and sectioned before eating.

Avoid Sweets, chocolates, toffees, fizzy drinks (including diet or sugar free versions) and chewing gum as these could lead to permanent marks on your teeth.

Stay away from hard, sticky, chewy or crunchy foods such has crusty bread, pork crackling. These cause your braces to loosen, bend or break and can cause the brace wire to come out of the brace.
